Team Roster Announced for 2008-09

The Soo Indians have announced their roster for the 2008-09 season. The team will consist of 20 players with only three players returning from last year's team.

Prigge advances to Junior Hockey!

Matt Prigge, a big, verteran defenseman for the Soo Indians, has signed with the Yellowstone Quake of the NorPac league. He will join former teammate, John Watkins, for the 2008-09 season.

Indians join new league

The Soo Indians have announced that they will no longer be affiliated with the Midwest Elite Hockey League (MWEHL). Instead, they have joined forces with several other teams to form a new league that will reduce travel costs and still provide the same level of competition that have come to enjoy.

Eric Cox drafted into Ontario Provicial League

Eric Cox has joined the ranks of those Soo Indians drafted or tendered to a Junior Hockey team. Eric has been drafted by the Collingwood Blues of the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL), a league that just had five of its players drafted by the NHL in this year's entry draft!

Watkins and Johnson join the ranks of Junior Hockey

John Watkins and Jacob Johnston have joined the ranks of other Soo Indians from the 2007-08 team to tender or be accepted to a Junior Hockey program. Other players going to Junior Hockey include: Dan Radke, Sean LaDouce, Bo Jacobs, Josh Munford, Justin Scott, and Ben MacPharlan.

Indians Announce Tryout Times

The Soo Indians Midget AAA Hockey Club are holding tryouts for the 2008-09 season. They will be held at the Taffy Abel Arena on the campus of Lake Superior State University.

McPharlan also drafted into Junior Hockey

Ben McPharlan became the sixth player to be drafted to a Junior Hockey team. Preceding Ben were Bo Jacobs, Dan Radke, Sean LaDouce, Josh Munford and Justin Scott.

More players advance to NAHL Hockey!

Two more players from the 2007-08 Soo Indians team have been drafted into the NAHL to play Junior A hockey.

Former Indians receive high recogntion!

Former Soo Indians standouts Jim Jorgensen, Miles Williams, Dan Radke, Bo Jacobs, Kory Kaunisto, Kyle Jean have all been recognized in the press in one way or another for their talents.

The Soo Indians recruit Strength and Conditioning Coach

The Soo Indians are pleased to announce the addition of Miles Williams to the coaching staff of the Midget AAA Hockey Club. Miles will assume the strength and conditioning coaching duties.
